Female Bicyclist killed in collision with SUV in McKeesport

McKEESPORT, Pa. — Allegheny County Police are investigating a fatal collision that killed a bicyclist Wednesday afternoon in McKeesport.

According to authorities, County 9-1-1 received a call at 3:22 p.m. reporting a vehicle striking a bicyclist in the 600 block of Eden Park Boulevard. First responders arrived to find an adult female bicyclist deceased at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates that the bicyclist was riding erratically off the side of the road, lost control, and struck the side of a westbound SUV. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Collision Reconstruction and Homicide Unit leads investigation

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction and Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. Authorities are seeking additional information and ask anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.

The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
