The snow began in the early morning hours and is expected to intensify through mid-morning before tapering off gradually in the afternoon. By evening, additional snow showers may linger, but only minimal accumulation is expected. Tonight, skies will begin to clear after 9 PM, with a low temperature dropping to around 18°F. A brisk northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph, gusting up to 20 mph, will add a noticeable chill to the air.
This storm marks a slight deviation from the average January weather in South Jersey, where highs typically reach the low 40s, and snowfall is sporadic.
