One ticket sold at Smokes 4 Less captured the midday drawing’s top prize
NEWBURGH, NY – A Newburgh Lottery ticket turned Wednesday afternoon into a five-figure payday after landing the TAKE 5 midday drawing’s top prize, worth $17,711.50.
The New York Lottery said the winning ticket was sold at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh.
It was the one top-prize ticket sold for the Aug. 19 midday drawing.
TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a field of 1 through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
The Lottery did not provide information about the person who purchased the ticket.
New York Lottery draw-game prizes can be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date.
