CHESAPEAKE, VA – Five people, including three children, were hospitalized Thursday evening following a multi-vehicle crash at Jolliff Road and West Military Highway.

Police say one of the juveniles suffered life-threatening injuries.

The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m., involving two vehicles that sustained significant damage.

Emergency crews respond to chaotic scene

Chesapeake Police and emergency medical teams arrived within minutes, transporting all five victims to area hospitals. Two adults and two juveniles were reported to have non-life-threatening injuries, while one child remained in critical condition late Thursday.

Investigation continues into cause of collision

Officers remained on scene through the evening as investigators examined the roadway and vehicle debris to determine what caused the crash. The intersection was temporarily closed to traffic while crews worked to clear the area.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. Police say the investigation is ongoing and updates will be released as more information becomes available.
