Gun-toting teens in floral hoodie rob D.C. victim on Alabama Ave, cops say

Washington, D.C. — A brazen robbery involving two young suspects—one reportedly toting a black handgun and wearing a sweatshirt covered in large white floral prints—unfolded just before sunset Sunday on a busy Southeast D.C. street, according to crime alert reports.

The robbery happened in the 2100 block of Alabama Avenue SE around 6:00 p.m., prompting a rapid response from units in the 7th District. The suspects, described as two Black males between the ages of 13 and 16, fled the scene before officers arrived.

Witnesses told dispatchers that one of the teens was armed with a handgun and wore a black hoodie with large white floral patterns, paired with blue shoes. He stands about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7. His accomplice was dressed in all black with matching blue shoes, according to the alert.

Police have not released further details about the incident, including whether anyone was injured, what was taken, or if the robbery appeared targeted or random.

No arrests have been made and the suspects remain at large as of Monday.
