Florida Woman Arrested for Reporting Hidden Christmas Presents as Stolen

FORT MYERS, FL – A Florida woman was arrested for falsely reporting her children’s Christmas presents as stolen. Shana Anica Hudson, 39, was charged with a felony for making a false report to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Hudson initially reported the presents stolen, triggering community action to replace the gifts. However, an investigation revealed Hudson herself hid the presents.

The incident, referred to as a “Grinch-like turn of events” by the Sheriff’s Office, was highlighted in a Facebook post featuring a deputy dressed as the Grinch.
