Former $100K winner strikes again in Ohio Lottery

FAIRLAWN, OH — A lucky Fairlawn player named Phil is celebrating a $20,000 win after playing the Ohio Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off game.

The winning $50 ticket was purchased at Acme Fresh Market #15, located at 3979 Medina Road in Akron. After federal and state taxes totaling 28 percent, Phil will take home approximately $14,400.

Phil’s win adds to a streak of good fortune — he previously won $100,000 in the Ohio Lottery’s New Year’s Raffle. He plans to save his latest prize for retirement.

VIP Millions is one of the Ohio Lottery’s premier scratch-off offerings, featuring a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of May 23, there are 35 top prizes still available.

The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state since its inception in 1974.
