Former Lancaster Cop Charged for Deviant Assaults on Juvenile Victims

LANCASTER, PA — Andrew Scott Selby, a former Lancaster City Police officer, has been charged with multiple counts of assault involving juvenile victims, following an ongoing investigation that has seen new victims come forward.

As the case has developed, five additional victims have accused Selby of sexual crimes, leading to the filing of two new sets of criminal charges.

These charges relate to incidents that span nearly three decades, including a case of r-pe and assault from nearly 30 years ago.

Additionally, Selby is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, and statutory sexual assault of a 12-year-old, as well as attempted r-pe and attempted statutory assault of another victim in November 1999.

Selby served as a Lancaster City Police officer for approximately six years, ending his service in August 2000. The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office is urging anyone with further information about these cases or Selby’s conduct while he was an officer to contact Detective Sergeant Higgins at 717-735-3319.
