FREEHOLD, NJ – A former Wall Township High School teacher who pleaded guilty to multiple sex offenses involving two students will be sentenced later this month.
Julie Rizzitello, 37, of Brick Township, admitted to two counts of second-degree sexual assault during a hearing before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Jill G. O’Malley. Prosecutors said Rizzitello engaged in separate sexual acts with two different students over a period of several years in multiple municipalities.
The investigation, led by members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and Wall Township Police Department, uncovered details of the abuse with assistance from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Brick Township Police Department. Detectives Jose I. Rodriguez of the Prosecutor’s Office and Devin Corso of Wall Township Police served as lead investigators.
Rizzitello was arrested without incident last summer and taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2026. Under the terms of her plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend a 10-year state prison sentence, mandatory registration as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, lifetime parole supervision, and permanent forfeiture of her public teaching position.
