Fourth of July Mass Shooting Sends 7 to Hospital, One Dead in Philadelphia

Multiple Victims in Shooting Incident on S Salford Street in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – A tragic shooting incident occurred in the 12th District on 1900 S Salford Street at 11:30 p.m., resulting in one fatality and several injuries.

The first victim, a 19-year-old male, was shot once in the face and transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:43 p.m.

The second victim, a 23-year-old male, was shot once in the right leg and is in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The third victim, an 18-year-old male, was shot once in the left leg and is also in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The fourth victim, a 21-year-old male, was shot once in the left shoulder and is in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The fifth victim, a 17-year-old male, suffered a graze wound to the head and is in stable condition at Presbyterian Hospital.

The sixth victim, a 16-year-old male, was shot once in the left thigh and is in stable condition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

The seventh victim, a 15-year-old female, was shot once in the left foot and is in stable condition at CHOP.

The eighth victim, a 14-year-old male, was shot once in the right thigh, initially transported to HUP Cedar Hospital and then to CHOP, where he is in stable condition.

The scene remains under police hold, with no arrests made and no weapons recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
