Frederick police investigate fight outside Governor Thomas Johnson High School

FREDERICK, MD — Frederick Police are investigating a physical altercation involving several individuals outside Governor Thomas Johnson High School on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m. and observed five people engaged in a fight. One individual sustained minor injuries that were treated on-site by emergency medical personnel, but hospitalization was not required.

Three juveniles suspected of involvement in the altercation were detained and later transported to their homes. Despite initial reports of a firearm mentioned over the radio, police confirmed that no firearm was recovered, and no weapons were found in anyone’s possession.

The investigation remains ongoing, and Frederick Police encourage anyone with additional information about the incident to contact them at 301-600-2101.
