Fugitive wanted in New Jersey sex assault case resurfaces as May target
Somerset County, NJ — A man wanted in connection with a sexual assault case dating back more than a decade has been named Fugitive of the Month by prosecutors in Somerset County.
Marco P. Garces, 51, is being sought for failure to appear in court on charges including second-degree sexual assault involving force or coercion and false imprisonment, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities said the charges stem from an incident reported in March 2009 in North Plainfield. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Garces is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in North Plainfield.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating him but advise against taking any direct action.
