WOODBURY, NY – A man wanted for violent crimes in New York City was captured on a trail cam in Orange County today.

Police are currently conducting a manhunt for Ali Ali, a suspect wanted for multiple violent felony crimes in New York City. Authorities believe he is in the Woodbury area of Orange County, New York, and warn that he is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the New York State Police, Ali Ali is described as a medium-skinned Indian male, standing about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds. At his last sighting, he was seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and notably, no shoes.

At around 12:35 p.m., Ali was captured on a trail camera in the Highland Mills area, specifically on Maplewood Drive. In response, police have urged residents to shelter in place and avoid contact with him. If anyone sees him, they are advised to call 911 immediately.
