Fugitive Wanted for Assaulting Cop in South Jersey

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Local police are on the lookout for an individual identified as “Suspect 001” following an incident at the Gloucester Township Day festivities. The disturbance occurred on the evening of June 1, around 9:54 PM, near Urge Fitness on Chews Landing Road.

During efforts to disperse a disorderly crowd, “Suspect 001” reportedly defied multiple orders to leave the area. When approached by police, the suspect attempted to assault an officer with a closed fist multiple times before being subdued with pepper spray. However, the suspect managed to escape by blending into the crowd and fleeing on foot.

Gloucester Township Police, assisted by officers from neighboring towns, were unable to apprehend the suspect at the scene. They are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating this individual.
