Fugitive Wanted in Suspicious Death Investigation Sought in Lancaster

Lancaster, PA – The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Matthew S. Harrison, 48, in connection with a homicide investigation. On February 5, 2024, at 4:12 PM, authorities were called to the 2200 block of Mount Hope Road in Penn Township following reports of an adult female, later identified as Jami A. Harrison, 49, who was initially believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, law enforcement found Mrs. Harrison deceased, and subsequent observations led investigators to treat her death as suspicious.

An autopsy conducted recently confirmed that the cause of death was homicide by strangulation. The NLCRPD, alongside partner agencies, is now actively searching for Mr. Harrison, described as a light-skinned black male, 5’7” tall, weighing 170 lbs., with hazel eyes. He is suspected to be driving a black, 2017 model K1500 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, with Pennsylvania registration ZND7298. Mr. Harrison is known to have connections in Lancaster and York County areas and is currently considered dangerous.

The police urge anyone who encounters Harrison or his vehicle to immediately contact 911.
