Germantown player hits $50K Bonus Match 5 jackpot as Maryland sees 39th top-tier win of the year
GERMANTOWN, MD — A Montgomery County lottery player is $50,000 richer after matching all five winning numbers in the Maryland Lottery’s Bonus Match 5 drawing on October 30 — marking the 39th top-tier win in the game for 2025.
The lucky ticket was sold at Kingsview Beer and Wine, located at 3406 Kingsview Village Avenue in Germantown. It matched the first five numbers drawn: 11, 17, 20, 26, and 30. The Bonus Ball — 15 — does not impact the top prize but is used for secondary prize tiers.
As a result of the sale, the retailer will receive a $500 bonus, equal to 1% of the winning prize.
Players have 182 days (six months) from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings. Prizes over $25,000 must be claimed through Maryland Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore. An appointment is required for in-person claims.
So far this year, 39 players have secured the game’s $50,000 top prize, though two of those wins remain unclaimed. The unclaimed tickets were sold July 12 in Baltimore and September 9 in Bladensburg.
Bonus Match 5 drawings are held daily. Players select five numbers between 1 and 39. To win the $50,000 prize, all five must match the first five numbers drawn. A sixth number — the Bonus Ball — is drawn from the remaining 34 numbers to create additional winning opportunities in lower prize tiers.
