Glen Burnie Family Dollar Robbed, Couple in Custody

Glen Burnie, MD – The Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to a robbery at the Family Dollar store on Monday at approximately 11:30 a.m. A black male suspect dressed in dark attire attempted to exit the store at 7428 Furnace Branch Road E. without paying for a cart’s worth of merchandise. When confronted by an employee, the suspect threatened to shoot her and subsequently fled in a black SUV.

Detectives from the Regional Crimes Unit are conducting an investigation into the incident. They are encouraging anyone with relevant information to reach out via phone at 410-222-4730 or through the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

In a separate case on Tuesday at around 2:00 a.m., police officers found a stolen U-Haul truck occupied at the Orchard Food Market at 1159 Reece Road in Severn. A male suspect and a female suspect were apprehended on the scene. The male suspect was discovered to have a stolen 9mm Beretta PX4 handgun.
