Traffic stop in Glen Burnie leads to cocaine arrest

GLEN BURNIE, Md. – A late-night traffic stop in Glen Burnie led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man after detectives seized cocaine, cash, and drug paraphernalia, police said.

The stop occurred around 1:15 a.m. Thursday near Juneberry Way and Sheckells Road, where Northern District detectives pulled over a silver 2016 Toyota.

Drugs and cash seized

Police said they recovered approximately 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 20 grams of powder cocaine, a digital scale, and $375 in cash during the stop.

The rear-seat passenger, identified as Ervin Demontray Montague of Glen Burnie, was taken into custody and charged with multiple controlled dangerous substance violations.

Investigation ongoing

The Northern District Strategic Patrol Team conducted the stop as part of ongoing drug enforcement operations in the area.
