Golden Power Base Threatened as Rudy Giuliani Endorses America First Team in Monmouth County

FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Sheriff Shawn Golden, who also serves as GOP Party Chairman is seeing his powerbase threatened after his opponents get a major national-level endorsement in the upcoming June primary election.

Golden, who is running for re-election for sheriff with 40-year incumbent Congressman Chris Smith is under fire this year after turning on well-respected members of his own party in 2021.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani today has officially endorsed Mike Crispi for Congress and the entire Column A America First team in the June Republican primary election. Guiliani is the latest confidante of former President Donald Trump to support Crispi against Congressman Chris Smith, who has been in office since 1981.

“I whole-heartedly endorse Mike Crispi for Congress,” Giuliani said. “Crispi has the courage to take on the worst that Washington has to offer.  He will protect our American values, stand for election integrity, and drain the DC swamp.  He will fight the cultural Marxism being promoted by the radical Democrats, the leftwing media, and their RINO friends.  Crispi is exactly the kind America First patriot our country needs and he will be a great Congressman for New Jersey’s Fourth Congressional District.”

Known as “America’s Mayor”, Giuliani became a national celebrity in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. He later ran for President, gaining wide support in New Jersey and eventually served as legal counsel for President Trump.

“It is an absolute honor to receive the endorsement of Mayor Giuliani ,” Crispi said. “I could not be more proud to have the support of our nation’s greatest Italian-American mayor.”

Giuliani is the latest Trump insider to support Crispi and the Column A ticket including General Michael Flynn, Trump Advisor Roger Store, Arizona Senator Wendy Rogers and the New Jersey Conservative Party.

In Monmouth County, Crispi is running with Gary Rich for Sheriff; and Daniel Francisco and Steven L. Rich for County Commissioner.
