WHITE MARSH, MD. – A White Marsh grandmother scored a $50,000 Maryland Lottery win on a $20 Scratch-Off, and she already knows some of the money will bring surprises for her grandchildren.
The woman won the prize playing Triple Red 777s, according to the Maryland Lottery. She purchased the winning ticket at Hamilton Park Liquors, located at 2323 E. Northern Parkway in Baltimore.
Accompanied by family members, the grandmother claimed her $50,000 prize Monday at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. She had previously won small amounts playing Scratch-Offs, but this ticket was different: “This is a big one,” she said.
