GREENTOWN, OH – Garren, a resident of Greentown, walked away with $50,000 after purchasing a Winter Fun scratch-off ticket at Spee-D-Food #30 on Cleveland Avenue NW.

Stopping at the store to cash in a $10 winning ticket on his way home from work, Garren decided to try his luck on the Ohio Lottery’s Winter Fun scratch-off game. Moments later, his purchase turned into a $50,000 windfall.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, Garren will take home approximately $36,000. He plans to use the winnings to pay off debt and take a family vacation.

The Winter Fun scratch-off game is priced at $10 per ticket and offers a top prize of $500,000. As of Dec. 9, three top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.
