Weis Markets in Wayne County sells $200K Powerball ticket

MIDDLETOWN, PA — A Wayne County grocery store sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $200,000 in Monday’s drawing, as anticipation builds for Wednesday’s $1.25 billion jackpot.

The winning ticket was purchased at Weis Markets, located at 589 Hamlin Highway in Salem Township. It matched four of the five white balls — 23, 35, 59, 63, 68 — and the Powerball 2. With the Power Play multiplier set at four, the prize jumped from $50,000 to $200,000.

The store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Powerball jackpot continues to climb and is now the sixth-largest in the game’s history, with a cash value of $572.1 million.

Statewide, more than 125,200 Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes in Monday’s drawing, with over 25,300 including the Power Play feature.
