EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a shooting near Carolyn Road and Superior Avenue, East Cleveland police reported.

The incident took place shortly before 10:40 a.m., when shots rang out in the neighborhood, leaving at least two individuals wounded. One of the victims was transported to the hospital by East Cleveland Emergency Medical Services, while the other arrived at a hospital in a private vehicle, according to officials.

Authorities have not disclosed the conditions of the victims, and few details about the circumstances of the shooting have been released. East Cleveland police are actively investigating and have not indicated whether any suspects are in custody.
