SEAFORD, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating after gunfire broke out in the parking lot of a VFW post following a fight late Thursday night.
Troopers were called to the VFW Virgil Wilson Post on Middleford Road around 11 p.m. after multiple shots were reported.
No injuries were reported, though several rounds were fired moments after a disturbance erupted at the end of an event.

Detectives search for suspects and witnesses
Investigators from Delaware State Police Troop 4’s Criminal Investigations Unit are leading the case. Detectives spent the early morning hours processing the scene and interviewing witnesses who attended the event.
Police have not yet identified a suspect or motive but believe the gunfire was connected to the fight that occurred minutes earlier in the parking lot.
