Gunfire in D.C. Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

WASHINGTON, DC — A tragic shooting in Southeast D.C. on Friday evening resulted in the death of one man and injuries to two others.

The incident occurred in the 1600 block of W Street shortly after 6 p.m.

D.C. Metro Police Department reports that upon their arrival, they discovered two men and a woman, all suffering from gunshot wounds but conscious and breathing. Following the shooting, the victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities later confirmed that one of the male victims succumbed to his injuries.

The conditions of the remaining two victims have not been disclosed.
