Man turns up at hospital after shooting on North Chapel Street
Baltimore, MD – A 49-year-old man walked into a local hospital Thursday evening with a gunshot wound shortly after police responded to a shooting scene in East Baltimore, where they discovered evidence of gunfire but no victim at the location.
At around 5:02 p.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of North Chapel Street after receiving a call about a reported shooting. At the scene, officers found physical evidence confirming a shooting had occurred, though no injured individuals were present.
Moments later, a 49-year-old male arrived at a nearby hospital, seeking treatment for a gunshot wound that investigators determined to be related to the Chapel Street incident. The wound was described as non-life-threatening.
Eastern District detectives responded to the area and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspects have been identified at this time, and no arrests have been made.
