Police hunt suspect after brazen Edgewood street shooting
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for a suspect caught on surveillance video after a man was shot in broad daylight in Northeast Washington earlier this week.
The shooting happened around 2:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Edgewood Street Northeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responding to reports of gunfire found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Investigators said surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect connected to the shooting.
Police released the suspect’s photo Thursday while asking the public for help identifying the individual.
Authorities urged anyone with information about the suspect or the shooting to contact police or submit anonymous tips through the department’s text tip line.
The Metropolitan Police Department said a reward of up to $10,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for crimes committed in the District.
