Man shot on Kavon Avenue in Northeast Baltimore evening gunfire

Baltimore, MD — A 32-year-old man was shot Saturday night in Northeast Baltimore, sending police and medics rushing to the 4600 block of Kavon Avenue after reports of gunfire pierced the neighborhood just before 8 p.m.

Responding patrol officers arrived at approximately 7:55 p.m. and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics rendered aid at the scene before transporting the man to a nearby hospital. Officials say his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and detectives from the Northeast District are working to determine a motive and identify any suspects. It is not yet known whether the victim was targeted or if the shooting was random.

No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Callers may remain anonymous by contacting Metro Crime Stoppers.
