Baltimore, MD — A 32-year-old man was shot Saturday night in Northeast Baltimore, sending police and medics rushing to the 4600 block of Kavon Avenue after reports of gunfire pierced the neighborhood just before 8 p.m.

Responding patrol officers arrived at approximately 7:55 p.m. and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics rendered aid at the scene before transporting the man to a nearby hospital. Officials say his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and detectives from the Northeast District are working to determine a motive and identify any suspects. It is not yet known whether the victim was targeted or if the shooting was random.
