Toledo police seek help identifying suspect in 2022 fatal shooting of Marvelous Walton

TOLEDO, OH – More than a year after a deadly shooting on the city’s west side, Toledo Police have renewed their plea for help identifying a suspect connected to the killing of Marvelous Walton, who was gunned down in broad daylight.

The shooting occurred on July 9, 2022, just after 1 p.m. in the 3800 block of Lockwood Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Walton suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, he later died from his injuries.

Detectives released surveillance images of a suspect in 2023 but have yet to identify the individual. The department is once again asking the public to review the images and contact investigators with any information.
