Victim injured after gun threat escalates fight in D.C.

Washington, D.C. — Police are searching for multiple suspects who assaulted a man with handguns during an argument in Northeast D.C., releasing surveillance footage as they seek help identifying those involved.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:18 p.m. on Friday, April 25, in the 4900 block of Central Avenue NE. According to investigators, the confrontation began as a verbal dispute before escalating when the suspects brandished firearms and physically assaulted the victim.

The attackers fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was left with a non-life-threatening laceration.

Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals in the video or has information related to the incident to come forward.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible.
