Hamilton Oktoberfest Unveils Inclusive Sensory Space for Special Needs Community

HAMILTON, NJ — An inclusive sensory space will make its debut today at Hamilton’s annual Oktoberfest, adding a new layer of accessibility to a festival known for its family-friendly activities.

Sponsored by Full Spectrum Therapy Partners, the sensory space aims to create an environment where both children and adults with special needs can fully participate in the festivities. It will feature sensory activities, a sensory tent, and a quiet area equipped with low lighting and noise reduction technologies.

Oktoberfest is set to run from 1 PM to 4 PM at Veterans Park on the South Side, featuring music from The Best of the Eagles. Alongside the new sensory space, the festival will offer its usual lineup of attractions, including food trucks, pumpkin patches, hay wagon rides, and a corn maze.

Parking on the South Side of Veterans Park will be reserved for handicapped parking, and shuttle buses will operate on a loop around the perimeter of the park to facilitate transportation for attendees.
