Detectives say more than 17 grams of suspected drugs were seized during late-night arrest
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A suspected hand-to-hand drug deal on a Glen Burnie street Tuesday night ended with a 38-year-old man under arrest and detectives seizing suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine and cash, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Eastern District Strategic Patrol detectives were in the area of Faywood Avenue and Winborne Drive at approximately 10:30 p.m. when they observed what police described as a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
Detectives detained the suspect and recovered suspected controlled substances and currency, police said.
Investigators reported seizing 12.41 grams of suspected fentanyl.
They also recovered 5.23 grams of suspected crack cocaine, bringing the combined weight of the suspected drugs to 17.64 grams.
Police did not disclose the amount of currency recovered.
Brian Douglas Hall, 38, of Gwynn Oak, was arrested in connection with the investigation.
Hall was charged with possession with intent to distribute and related offenses, according to police. The department did not provide a complete list of charges in its announcement.
No information about Hall’s bond or court status was included in the release.
The charges are accusations, and Hall is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
