Hazleton man arrested after attempted break-ins at apartment complex

HAZLETON, PA – A man was taken into custody early Friday after allegedly attempting to break into multiple apartments on South Washington Street.

Anthony Liene, 31, was arrested at 12:16 a.m. after officers responded to reports of a suspect trying to gain entry into residences and removing window screens.

Police determined Liene was not a resident of the complex and had no authorization to be on the property.

During a search following his arrest, officers discovered drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Liene was transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment.
