GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A head-on collision in Gloucester Township on Wednesday left two individuals with serious injuries, according to the Gloucester Township Police Department.

The crash occurred around 12:03 p.m. at the intersection of College Drive and Cherrywood Drive. Police reported that a vehicle traveling northbound crossed the double yellow line, entering the southbound lane and causing the collision.

Responding officers found both vehicles with significant damage, blocking the roadway. Both injured occupants were transported to local hospitals by Inspira Basic Life Support and Jefferson Health Basic Life Support teams. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed, and their identities are being withheld pending family notification and further investigation.

The incident led to a temporary closure of College Drive’s southbound lanes between Blackwood Clementon Road and Erial Road for roughly two hours, as the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT) conducted an on-scene investigation.

The crash remains under investigation, and no criminal charges have been filed at this time, according to police.
