Georgetown man killed in Milford crash after high-speed pursuit ends in tragedy
MILFORD, DE – A late-night police pursuit ended in fatal consequences Sunday when a 37-year-old Georgetown man died after crashing his vehicle in a single-car wreck on a Milford roadway.
Delaware State Police have identified the victim as Linwood Owens, Jr., who was behind the wheel during the incident. The crash occurred following a police chase, though specific details of the pursuit — including its origin and duration — have not yet been released.
The collision took place late Sunday night, according to investigators from the Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit, who are continuing to examine the circumstances leading up to the deadly wreck.
