Homecoming robbery spree erupts into deadly mass shooting at Lincoln University

Lincoln University, PA – A night meant for celebration at Lincoln University turned into chaos when gunfire exploded during homecoming festivities, leaving one man dead, six others wounded, and four suspects now facing serious criminal charges tied to the violence.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrests of William Sells, 20, Karon Rollins, 17, and Makaveli Valera, 19, all of Wilmington, Delaware, in connection with the October 25, 2025 shooting on campus.

Prosecutors allege the trio traveled to Lincoln University armed with guns and targeted attendees during homecoming events, robbing victims of jewelry and valuables before the violence escalated into a deadly shooting.

All three defendants have been charged with second-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy, and additional related offenses. Rollins, despite being 17, has been charged as an adult.

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 9:08 p.m. near the parking lot of the International Cultural Center building, where several thousand people had gathered for festivities.

Investigators reported that seven people were shot during the incident, including defendant Sells. One victim, identified as Jujuan Jeffers, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and later died from his injuries.

A fourth defendant, Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson, who had previously been arrested on a firearms offense in October 2025, has now also been charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person tied to the shooting.

According to investigators, detectives used public tips, surveillance evidence, Instagram messages, photographs, videos, and text communications to place the suspects at the university and connect them to the robberies and shooting.

Authorities also said Rollins was later arrested in Wilmington while allegedly in possession of jewelry reported stolen during the homecoming robbery spree.

The three primary suspects are currently being held in Delaware pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

The Chester County Detectives are leading the investigation with assistance from multiple agencies including Pennsylvania State Police, Wilmington Police, Delaware State Police, and the FBI.

The charges are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
