Maria Gregorio scored 18 points Tuesday as the 18th-seeded Toms River South High School girls basketball team defeated 15th-seeded Point Pleasant Borough, 59-33, in the first round of the Shore Conference Tournament.
Emily Donzanti scored 12 points and Danielle Ferreri added 11 for the visiting Indians, who led by 14 points at the end of the first quarter.
Ally Lassen scored 13 points and Megan Hughes had nine for the Panthers.
Toms River South will face second-seeded Rumson-Fair Haven in the second round on Thursday.
