The Lakewood High School wrestling team earned two pins, a technical fall and a major decision on its way to a 42-20 win over host Donovan Catholic on Wednesday.
Alex Martinez and Marco Avila had pins for the Piners. Marco Quintero earned a technical fall with a 17-1 win over Tommy Smith at 170 pounds and Japhet Campillo won a 14-6 major decision over Tommy Glawson at 126 pounds. Marco Morales won a 6-5 decision over Shane Harringfeld at 152 pounds and Lakewood earned 18 points by forfeit.
The Griffins got pins from Ryan Acosta at 145 pounds and Salvatore DiSalvo at 195 pounds. Cristiann Dailey won a 16-1 technical fall at 138 pounds and Alex Palacio won a 5-1 decision over Isaiah Francis at 182 pounds for Donovan Catholic.
