LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A fugitive wanted for murder in Mexico was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Riverside and turned over to Mexican authorities, officials announced.

According to a statement from HSI Los Angeles, the arrest was made in response to a request from the Government of Mexico. The operation was carried out in coordination with HSI San Diego and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Los Angeles.

Following the arrest, the suspect was transferred to Mexican authorities at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Officials have not released the suspect’s identity or details of the charges.

Authorities did not disclose further details on the case but emphasized ongoing efforts to apprehend fugitives wanted for serious crimes.
