NEW YORK, NY– Hundreds of Orthodox Jewish supporters of President Donald J. Trump packed the ballroom at the New York City’s International Barclay and raised more than $3.5 million for the President’s re-election campaign.

Organized by philanthropist Lazer “Louis” Scheiner, the audience cheered “Four More Years” and “USA” as Trump took the podium.

After taking the stage, Trump touted the new embassy he opened in Jerusalem that was not without backlash at home and abroad.

“They all told me don’t do it,” Trump said he had a lot of pressure not to do it.

Trump said he went forward with the plan anyway because it had been promised for decades, but his predecessors never delivered.

“Every president promised it,” Trump said. “Because when I got into office, the pressure that was put on me to not do it was incredible. I got a call from every leader from every part of the world practically, but especially that part of the world”

Trump said he would not take calls from those who opposed until after the opening, then apologized and said, “Sorry, there’s nothing I can do, it’s already done.”

President Trump’s close ties with the Orthodox Community stem from both his support for the community worldwide and that his son-in-law Jared Kushner and his children are Orthodox.
