PHILADELPHIA — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested seven individuals for immigration violations during a worksite enforcement operation at Complete Autowash in Philadelphia on January 28, authorities said.

The operation was conducted in response to allegations of labor exploitation at the business. ICE officers interviewed employees on-site and detained seven individuals who were unlawfully present in the United States. Six of the individuals were from Mexico, and one was from the Dominican Republic.

“The successful execution of this worksite enforcement operation underscores our determined commitment to national security and public safety,” said Enforcement and Removal Operations Philadelphia acting Field Office Director Brian McShane.

ICE stated that all seven individuals are being held pending removal proceedings. Officials did not disclose whether any charges or penalties were issued against the business itself.

Members of the public with information related to immigration violations or labor exploitation can report tips to ICE by calling 866-DHS-2-ICE or submitting an online tip form.
