STUART, Fla. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 32 undocumented immigrants with prior criminal convictions during enforcement operations in Palm Beach County from Jan. 27 to 28.
ICE officers, working with the U.S. Border Patrol, apprehended individuals from Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba, and Nicaragua. The arrests involved individuals with convictions for offenses including drug possession, robbery, fraud, and illegal re-entry.
Among those taken into custody was a 30-year-old Venezuelan man with prior convictions for resisting an officer, drug possession, and robbery. A 44-year-old Haitian woman with convictions for battery, drug possession, and prostitution was also detained.
A 24-year-old Cuban man with convictions for fraud, larceny, and probation violation remains in custody, while a 25-year-old Guatemalan man convicted of illegal re-entry, cocaine possession, and driving under the influence is also awaiting removal.
All individuals arrested during the operation will either be detained for deportation or await a hearing before an immigration judge.
