Illegal U-Turn Ends in 80 MPH Chase, Handcuffs

Stafford, VA – A Stafford man was taken into custody after leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit that began with an illegal U-turn and ended in a multi-vehicle crash near the I-95 northbound on-ramp.
The driver reportedly reached speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour in a 45 zone while attempting to evade law enforcement.

No injuries were reported in the collision.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred Wednesday when Deputy Helbing observed a vehicle blocking traffic while trying to make an illegal U-turn on Warrenton Road.
