Investigation Ongoing in Fatal Stabbing in Bridgeton

BRIDGETON, NJ—The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, along with detectives from the Bridgeton Police Department, are actively investigating the stabbing death of a 23-year-old man from E. Commerce St., which occurred late Sunday night on Walnut St.

Authorities were called to Inspira Regional Medical Center in Vineland around 10:30 PM, where they discovered the victim with a severe stab wound to the neck. Despite efforts to save him, the victim died from his injuries early this morning. His name has not been released as officials are still notifying his family.

The incident reportedly took place in front of a residence on the 100-block of Walnut St., where police later found evidence, including what is believed to be the weapon used in the attack. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed as the investigation continues.

The Bridgeton Police urge anyone with information about this tragic event to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
