Hyattsville, MD – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on Tuesday night in Hyattsville’s unincorporated section. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Adam Hashim from Lanham. Authorities have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Detectives have initially indicated that they do not suspect the crime to be random.

Officers responded to the 7000 block of Highview Terrace on the night of October 29 at approximately 11:00 p.m. They discovered Adam Hashim in an apartment with gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators are actively working to determine a motive and identify potential suspects.
