Jackson Day Team Getting Ready to Make 2024 Jackson Day the Best Ever

JACKSON, N.J. — Jackson Township Business Administrator Terrance Wall walked the grounds with the entire Jackson Day team this week as the township begins preparing for Jackson Day. This year, the town hopes the event will be the biggest and best one yet.

The last internal meeting of town officials took place on-site at Johnson Park this week.

Jackson Township is gearing up for its annual Jackson Day celebration, set to take place on Sunday, September 15, at Johnson Memorial Park. Organized by the Jackson Recreation Department, the event will offer a day packed with activities and entertainment for all ages. Admission is free, making it an inviting event for the entire community.

The festivities will begin with food vendors, a local merchandise marketplace, and information booths. Among the day’s highlights will be a motorcycle stunt show and a basketball shootout tournament. A pickleball tournament catering to sports enthusiasts may also be part of the day’s events.

Families can enjoy a petting zoo, and children will have plenty to look forward to with helicopter landings and hot air balloon photo opportunities. Live music from local bands and a DJ will keep the atmosphere lively throughout the day.

As evening falls, a drone show is scheduled for 8:00 p.m., showcasing a modern light display in the night sky. The day will conclude with a fireworks show, bringing the celebration to a close.
