LAS VEGAS, NV — A man was arrested Friday after fatally shooting a woman and injuring another near Blanton and Sacks Drive, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 4:44 p.m. from a man claiming he had shot someone at the scene. Upon arrival, police discovered two vehicles stopped in the street with two women suffering from gunshot wounds.

One woman was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, while the second victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Adrian Rodriguez-Guillen, who was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Detectives determined that Rodriguez-Guillen approached his ex-wife and her girlfriend, exited his vehicle, and opened fire on both women before calling the police.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased victim’s identity and the official cause of death.

The LVMPD Homicide Section is leading the ongoing investigation.
