Landover man charged with murder after fatal stabbing of younger brother

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — A Landover man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his younger brother to death during a dispute on Monday evening, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The incident took place on Monday around 6 p.m., in the 8600 block of Reicher Street. Officers arrived to find 23-year-old Simi Kelly outside, suffering from severe trauma. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Simi’s older brother, 28-year-old Brilyen Kelly, at the scene. Detectives learned that the stabbing occurred during an argument between the two siblings.

Brilyen Kelly has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
