July 10, 2025

LANDOVER, Md. — A 21-year-old Largo man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of J’len Livingston early Sunday morning in Landover, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as Damarion Jones, who is now charged with first- and second-degree murder. Detectives say Jones shot Livingston, also 21, during a dispute shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday on the 7500 block of Allendale Drive.

Livingston, of Clinton, was transported to a hospital but died of his injuries a short time later.

“The suspect and victim were known to each other,” PGPD stated in a release.

Following the homicide, detectives with the department’s Homicide Unit used multiple investigative methods to identify Jones as the suspect and secured a warrant for his arrest.

The department’s Fugitive Unit located and arrested Jones on Wednesday. He is being held without bond at the Department of Corrections.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
