Eighteen tickets worth at least $10,000 were sold as players claimed more than $30.2 million in prizes
LAUREL, MD — A Laurel lottery player claimed Maryland’s biggest prize of the week after a Diamonds & Gold Scratch-off delivered a $2 million jackpot, leading a week that saw more than $30.2 million paid to winners across the state.
The Maryland Lottery said the top-winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 14001 Baltimore Ave. in Laurel.
The second-largest prize of the week was a $63,866 Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings FAST PLAY progressive jackpot ticket sold July 25 at A1 Plaza Liquor and Wines, 3215 Plaza Way in Waldorf. As of July 27, the prize remained unclaimed.
From July 20 through July 26, the Maryland Lottery paid more than $30.2 million in prizes, including 18 winning tickets worth $10,000 or more.
Among the week’s $50,000 Scratch-off winners were:
- A $5,000,000 LUXE ticket sold at Sheetz, 14606 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown.
- A 50X the Cash ticket sold at Sunoco, 4836 Kenilworth Ave., Hyattsville.
- A Multiply Your Money ticket sold at Giant, 1009 Fairlawn St., Laurel.
Five $10,000-winning Scratch-off tickets were also sold during the week:
- All About Cash at Maryland Liquors in Baltimore.
- More Money at Best Wine and Spirits in Cambridge.
- Deluxe Crossword 10th Edition at Clinton Crossing Exxon in Clinton.
- Extreme Green at 7-Eleven on Laurel-Fort Meade Road in Laurel.
- $5,000,000 Fortune at 7-Eleven on Naylor Mill Road in Salisbury.
Several draw game prizes also remained unclaimed as of July 27.
A $50,000 Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in Bethesda had not yet been claimed.
Four Pick 5 tickets worth $50,000 each remained unclaimed after being sold in Salisbury, Perry Hall and Salisbury again. Another Pick 5 drawing produced three $25,000 winning tickets sold in Baltimore, Laurel and Silver Spring, all of which also remained unclaimed.
Maryland Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of their tickets and store them in a safe place until they are claimed.
